Description:

The Regional Chapter Ambassador will work with ISACA Global and local chapters in a region to clarify and support strategy execution.

The group is among the first to be made aware of new policies, procedures, new features, etc., so they can assist with disseminating information, responding to chapter inquiries, and building momentum within the region. They relay concerns or issues to ISACA Global and are leaders in and champions of change management.

Key contribution:

        Each Regional Chapter Ambassador will:

  • Participate in Regional Strategic Advisory Council Meetings with chapter presidents.
  • Be a key contact point for chapter leaders in the region as far as Regional Strategy execution is concerned, as well as escalation point for operational matters.
  • Help monitor projects for Regional Strategy execution with the goal of increasing member satisfaction and growth in the region.
  • Build and maintain ongoing and proactive relationships with chapter leaders.
  • Travel to events as needed and in coordination with ISACA Global, supporting chapters locally and regionally.
  • Work with chapters on improving their operations
  • Serve as the voice for members in the region by working with chapter leaders to identify opportunities, solutions, concerns, gaps that will enhance member value and satisfaction within the region.
  • Engage with staff to identify and request proper allocation of resources (e.g., time, funds, people, tools, etc.) to support programs and initiatives that enhance member growth and engagement in the region.

Volunteer Criteria & Working Group Composition:

  • Be a current ISACA member
  • Have experience as a chapter leader
  • Have general knowledge of ISACA frameworks, products, certifications, and services
  • Ability to present new ideas, approaches, and information clearly
  • Collaborative, demonstrated ability to build relationships
  • Geographic representation required
  • Representation from small, medium, large, and very large chapters will be considered.
