Description:

As part of the Global Impact strategy implementation and as a result of initial Regional Strategic Advisory Council work, ISACA Global is forming a new task force of Chapter Tech Advisors. This group will provide guidance and assistance to ISACA Global in developing a roadmap for discovery and implementation of additional technology tools for use in Chapter administration. Specifically, in 2022, focusing in on solutions for CPE submission, marketing and communication to members, and integrated event platforms. The roadmap and platform selection/requirements should reflect consideration of the collective ISACA community, their shared goals and challenges, and find the appropriate balance among competing interests and regional concerns.

Desired Outcomes

The process will be considered a success by delivering the following outcomes:

  • Define Chapter administrative needs and pain points related to each (CPE submission, marketing and communication to members, and event platforms) by 1 May 2022
  • Collaboratively defining a roadmap to address proposed solution by 1 Jul 2022

Participation Guidelines

  • Members agree to volunteer until project completion or through 31 Dec 2022
  • In a case where a member’s position is declared vacant, ISACA Global may appoint an alternative representative to fill the position.

Convening of Meetings

  • Meetings will be held monthly and are expected to be 90 minutes in duration.
  • Volunteers will be informed of meetings via at least one week prior to the meeting.
  • Meetings will be facilitated by the ISACA Global Member Experience team.
  • Informed alternates are acceptable and encouraged if a Volunteer cannot attend.
  • The previous meeting notes and agenda will be forwarded to members of the group at least one week before the next meeting.

Communication

  • Project documents and notices will be posted in a private community on Engage
  • Email: ISACA Global should be copied on all correspondence, and if ISACA Global chooses to open a dialogue via email, all volunteers will be copied.

Roles and Responsibilities

Volunteers agree to:

  • Provide specific local expertise, including identifying emerging local issues;
  • Review project documentation and comment promptly;
  • Attend all meetings possible and prepare appropriately;
  • Complete all necessary assignments/pre-work prior to each meeting;
  • Relay information to their constituents after each meeting and gather information/feedback from their constituents as practicable before each meeting;
  • Articulate and reflect the interests that the volunteers bring to the table;
  • Maintain a focus on solutions that benefit the entire community;
  • Relay information to their constituents after project close to ensure local Chapter administrators and members are aware and supportive of changes.

ISACA Global agrees to:

  • Provide volunteers the opportunity to collaborate and make recommendations related to Chapter Tech;
  • Effectively manage the scope, schedule and budget;
  • Keep Volunteers, Chapter leaders, and ISACA staff informed of progress;
  • Provide documentation to support recommendations;
  • Provide subject matter and technical expertise;
  • Manage logistics for meetings; and
  • Explain the reasons when deviations are taken from recommendations, when needed.

Volunteer Criteria:

This opportunity is invitation-only.

  • Experience as an ISACA Chapter Leader or admin
  • ISACA Membership required or chapter administrator.
  • Geographic area representation required.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term
  • Influence new tools and services to enhance chapter leader’s ability to serve their local members and manage their chapters
