Description:

The ISACA Conference Oceania 2022 Program Support Task Force will support the successful program development, planning and execution of the regional virtual event, 8-9 September 2022. Volunteers’ local perspectives, contacts, and networks can ensure that the program meets the needs of ISACA members and professionals across Oceania interested in learning and networking and delivers an incredible experience. Selected task force members will be responsible for providing input to ISACA Event Operations Staff (EOS) on marketing opportunities and unique virtual experiences. ISACA EOS has final decision-making authority. During the live virtual conference, task force members will support the EOS team and engage virtual attendees in the conference platform. After the event, volunteers will participate in a debrief to continually enhance the opportunities and deliverables for future ISACA Conferences.

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Attend monthly meeting via Microsoft Teams to discuss the strategy in how we will execute a successful event. Including one post event debrief call.
  • Marketing - Task Force will recommend appropriate vehicle and communication techniques to increase attendance and awareness of the Conference. Ensure ISACA Global Marketing plan resonates with regional audiences. Utilize Task Force in various promotion activities (i.e. social media, chapter outreach, industry connections, etc.).
  • Sponsorship – Volunteers understand companies within the region who would have benefit to sponsor at an ISACA event. Volunteers will not act as salespeople but rather provide introductions to grow ISACA’s connections.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • ISACA membership required
  • Someone who has attended several ISACA conferences (and plans to attend this conference)
  • Has a good understanding of all the ISACA domains: IT audit, information security, risk, governance, privacy
  • Reliable internet connection to be able to conduct the abstract evaluations online and connect to virtual meetings
  • Primary residence within Oceania region to fully understand local needs and interests while building the conference program and topics
  • Have not submitted an abstract to speak at this conference.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of topics, speakers, and selection process. ISACA Global is responsible for communication with all interested speakers.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term.
  • Complimentary full conference registration for ISACA Conference Oceania 2022 (virtual).
