2022 VIRTUAL ISACA Conference North America Session Monitors

ISACA Conference North America 2022, 4-6 May 2022, will be a hybrid event - empowering attendees to choose between a virtual or in-person experience for learning, connecting, and volunteering.

Volunteers for the virtual experience will be supporting an incredible attendee experience and creating an engaging, interactive virtual format. Read more below and consider contributing your time to our conference success.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Conference:

• Volunteers are asked to start new discussion threads and respond to posts in the conference community on Engage to encourage further interaction among attendees.

During the Conference:

• Volunteers are needed in each virtual session “room” to help facilitate Q&A, copy unanswered questions and post them in the applicable session discussion thread on Engage, post conference reminders (provided by Conference Staff) in the session chat, and other conference support activities.
• Volunteers will be assigned to a virtual session room for the entire day (except during the keynotes) (approx. 10 am – 5:30 pm US Central Time) regardless of the sessions offered. You must be present in all sessions in your assigned room on that day.
• Throughout the conference, volunteers are expected to participate and contribute in interactive content such as Jeopardy, discussion boards, etc. (regardless of their scheduled volunteer shift.)
• Volunteers who do not fulfill their room monitor responsibilities in each session assigned may be billed back for the registration discount they received.

 Post Conference:

• Volunteers will capture the unanswered questions from the session Q&A and post them in the session discussion thread in the conference community. This will enable the speaker to respond outside of the session and encourage all attendees to continue their conversations.

Volunteers will receive the conference discount code in the confirmation email and MUST register for the full virtual conference pass and pay within one week or forfeit their shift.

Volunteer Criteria:

• Must register as a full virtual conference attendee and pay for the conference by 24 April 2022.
• Complete a virtual orientation webinar 28 April, 11 am-noon Central Time (preferred live participation; a recording will also be available.)
• Stable internet connection to join the conference sessions and fully participate.
• Must commit to attending the conference for the full day assigned to you
• Willingness to participate in the North America Conference Community on Engage (accessible by registered attendees)

Volunteer benefits:

• Substantial discount off the applicable registration price (full conference pass only, not daily or keynote passes.) *Volunteers who cancel or do not complete a scheduled shift will be invoiced for the full registration amount.
  • Virtual: US$199 member / US$399 nonmember
• Opportunity to network with other attendees and speakers.
• ISACA Conference North America offers up to 18 CPE for the full conference pass. Volunteers, as all attendees, may claim CPEs based on the sessions attended. Additional CPE for volunteering is not available.
