Description:

The 2026 ISACA Student Summit will feature an “IT Bowl” competition for registered student attendees. Professional judges are needed to observe and score student presentations based around a provided case study. Based on feedback and scores, the judges will determine the winning (2) teams.

Anticipated outcomes:


Student attendees participating in the IT Bowl will work in teams to problem solve a real life business case. At the end of the activity, teams will present their solutions to judges and other attendees. The volunteer judges will support the IT Bowl competition by providing a fair, collaborative assessment of the teams’ work:

Anticipated Outcomes:

  • Attend a (one-hour max) training session to prepare for judging duties during the competition.
  • Objectively observe the IT Bowl teams during the problem solving component of the activity.
    • Judges may observe teams preparing; they may not offer advice or guidance
  • Attend competition read out and evaluate team presentations on depth, creativity, and quality of the solution.
  • Judges will work collaboratively to review takeaways from each team, review notes taken during observation, and select the IT Bowl winning teams.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • ISACA membership required
  • Fair minded and unbiased approach to evaluating team presentations
  • Previous involvement with ISACA (volunteer, chapter leader, other active participant) preferred
  • Experienced practitioner; ability to understand real life problems and feasibility of solutions presented by the teams
  • Experience working with students preferred (mentor, educator, leader, etc.)
  • Geographic area representation considered
  • Must be a registered attendee of the 2026 Student Summit, and commit to attending both the pre-orientation and Student Summit live event.

Volunteer Benefits:

  • Up to 3 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term. This activity does not align to an Exam Content Outline (ECO).
  • Contribute to the learning and development of future professionals.
