Description:

The COBIT working group will be responsible for suggesting and vetting enhancements to the COBIT product family and advising ISACA on the prioritization of those enhancements to improve the depth and quality of the COBIT product line. The working group will also review content drafts for COBIT products in development and provide feedback to the development team. Additionally, the COBIT working group will champion and evangelize the COBIT framework.

Anticipated outcomes:

The COBIT working group is responsible for:

  • evaluating suggested changes to the COBIT framework, largely gathered through the crowd-sourced version of COBIT 2019, and
  • recommending to ISACA the updates that should be incorporated and those that should disregarded, based on the teams’ comprehensive knowledge of COBIT and its stature as the preeminent I&T governance framework.
  • suggesting changes, both from the practitioner community as well as from members of the working group may result in additional focus area content or other content that would be developed as a complement to the overall COBIT product line.
  • championing and evangelizing the COBIT framework.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Extensive subject matter expertise in COBIT
  • Experience implementing COBIT in an enterprise
  • Geographic area considered for diversity
  • Ability to connect to quarterly Skype teleconference

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups to be claimed upon successful completion of the term.

Time commitment:

  • Term: March 2019 – December 15, 2019.
  • All work done via Skype/online meetings. Quarterly teleconferences are anticipated with email communication between meetings.
