Description:

ISACA is currently looking for volunteers to provide input and co-create risk and cybersecurity concepts. The purpose of this research is to help us identify products and services that will better enable independent contributors or small teams to envision their big picture and guides them to build confidence in their enterprise security through collaborative and contextual decision making.

Not all who apply will be selected to participate.

Timeline:

1:1 Interviews will be conducted via telephone/Microsoft Teams with ISACA staff. The interviews last approximately 90 minutes, and all information remains confidential.

Interviews will be scheduled during the week of 5 July (preferred, with 12-13 July as alternates) based on the availability of the ISACA staff interviewer and participant. Accepted volunteers will have "2021 Risk/Cybersecurity Concept Interviews " recorded in their volunteer history with a standard 13 July date to close out the program (not specific to their individual interview.)

Disregard the start/end dates above as qualified applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, and interviews will be scheduled through 13 July. Do not delay in applying as spots are limited.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • A variety of “small team” representatives in one of the following categories:
    • Independent contributors in a cyber or risk role in your workplace, i.e. “team of one” who has no staff or much help
    • Consultants from small firms. Ideally, consultants who work with companies that have fewer than 100 employees (or below 250 if needed.)
    • Individuals who work on a “small security team,” i.e. 3-5 people in companies with fewer than 2500 employees.
  • 5+ years experience working in cybersecurity or risk
  • North American representation of participants preferred
  • Fluency in English for the interview
  • ISACA member or certifications not required
  • Availability between 5-13 July for the interview and strong phone/internet connection to meet

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 2 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the term.
  • Opportunity to influence ISACA products and services to best meet your organization’s risk and cybersecurity needs in the future.
