Description:

The AAIR Practice Analysis & Certification Working Group is designated to support ISACA’s new AAIR Certification program. Members of this group are responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of the certification program and the exam content.
 
Anticipated Outcomes:
  • Support the certification development process, including:
    • Participate in the Job Practice Study.
    • Create the Exam Content Outline (ECO).
    • Participate in the Standard Setting Study to create the passing point of the exam.
    • Review and approve exam drafts.
    • Review exam item performance via statistical analysis.
    • Approve requirements for certification.
    • Approve recertification methods and requirements.
    • Review and approve the empirically derived results of the updated job practice.
    • Review certification appeals and exam administration issues to determine appropriate action.
  • All work is conducted confidentially and may not be shared or discussed outside the working group members and ISACA staff.

Volunteer Criteria:
  • Members must already hold a CRISC certification.
  • Diverse member representation required to include geographical areas, industry, and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in AI risk.  
  • Fluency in English required for productive group discussion.
  • AAIR Working Group members will be prohibited from teaching AAIR certification review courses or developing AAIR certification review materials for a period of 3 years following the last date of service on the Working Group.

  • In-person and/or remote meeting(s): Meeting attendance is required, typically 2 per year. The number of meetings and location could change based on business requirements. 
 
Estimated Time Commitment:
  • 2 hours/month
  • Time commitment is expected to increase in weeks preceding meeting for item file pre-review.
  • Meetings are typically scheduled for 2 business days.
 
Volunteer benefits:
  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the required tasks at the end of the term.
  • Working Group members will receive CPEs based on the time spent during the face-to-face meetings. Evidence of actual hours earned for the formal review process will be provided to Working Group members.
