2025 ISACA Exam Preparation Research – User Feedback Interviews

ISACA is seeking volunteers to participate in a research initiative aimed at better understanding how recent certification earners prepared for their exams and their experience with ISACA exam prep products. Selected volunteers will help inform the future development of exam prep products and candidate support tools.

This opportunity is open to individuals who have passed an ISACA certification exam within the last 3 months or those about to sit for an ISACA exam. Volunteers will be asked to participate in a short, guided interview and share their experiences with ISACA-provided and/or third-party exam prep materials.

Timeline:

• Disregard start date listed. Volunteers will be approved on a rolling basis until all interview slots are filled.
• Selected participants will be contacted via email to schedule a 45–60 minutes virtual interview, taking place before 31 July.

Anticipated Outcomes:

• Volunteers will help ISACA gain insight into:
  • Which prep materials (ISACA and third-party) were used
  • The length and style of exam preparation
  • Format preferences (e.g., eBook vs. physical Review Manual)
  • Perceived effectiveness of ISACA's exam prep products.
  • How candidates are preparing for multiple certifications
  • What defines a well-rounded study experience
• Collected insights will be used to improve the design, delivery, and marketing of ISACA’s exam prep resources.
• Interviews will be conducted using Microsoft Teams.
• Volunteers will be asked to complete a short intake form prior to the interview.

Volunteer Criteria:

• ISACA Membership is not required.
• Must have earned an ISACA certification within the past 3 months OR must be about to sit for an ISACA exam
• Comfortable participating in a virtual, audio-recorded interview (internal use only)
• Fluent in English for productive conversation
• Willing to complete a short intake form and follow-up questions if needed
• Stable internet connection and access to Microsoft Teams for video conferencing

• CPE:
  • Select volunteers will earn an additional 1 CPE in the category of Contributions to the Profession (maximum 20 CPE in this category annually) for completing a 1:1 interview with ISACA staff.
