Description:

ISACA seeks up to three senior-level members to represent ISACA at the MIT CISR 2019 Research Forum (Europe), hosted by Heineken in Amsterdam.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Information Systems Research (MIT CISR) forums are intended for sponsor and patron senior-level managers from any part of the organization (e.g., from both within and outside the IT unit) who are responsible for digital transformation, such as designing, building and applying capabilities that leverage digital technologies to improve operations and/or customer offerings. The agenda will draw on new research or build extensively on current research projects to provide new insights into challenging problems as companies transform for digital. Sessions by MIT CISR researchers Jeanne Ross, Joe Peppard, Barb Wixom, Nick van der Meulen and Nils Fonstad will be highly interactive and include data and cases from multiple sectors.

MIT CISR is a partner of ISACA’s, and this opportunity offers a unique learning and networking opportunity for selected participants. Review the conference agenda here. (Do not register through that link separately; ISACA will select representatives and guide them through the registration process by 22 March.) ISACA is offering complimentary registration, but any travel or other expenses are the individual’s responsibility.

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Attendees will participate fully in all networking and educational sessions during both days of the event.
  • Attendees will each write an ISACA Now blog sharing their experiences and new information learned.
  • ISACA will provide registration information to the selected attendees the first week of March. All other travel arrangements and costs are the attendee’s responsibility.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • ISACA Membership required.
  • Executive level experience
  • All travel costs are the individual’s expense. ISACA will not reimburse expenses and is only offering attendance.
  • Preference given for applicants local to Melbourne.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Participants with ISACA certification(s) may self-claim CPE hours for the educational sessions in the category of non-ISACA professional education activities and meetings per the applicable ISACA certification maintenance guidelines.
  • Networking opportunities at the conference.
