Description:

The EU Advocacy Task Force will coordinate ISACA advocacy efforts towards EU institutions and relevant bodies as well as across the EU, with the goal of coordinating and streamlining advocacy efforts, contributing to elevating the ISACA brand in the region, responding to consultations, and ensuring one, consistent voice.

Anticipated Outcomes:

The EU Task Force will input into EU public affairs engagement in policy issues that impact the profession, relevant advocacy initiatives carried out by ISACA, in addition to collaborating on ad hoc projects at ISACA Global’s request (i.e. consultations, etc.). There could be the option of one in person meeting during this term, but the other meetings, which are scheduled as needed, will be virtual. In addition to responding to ISACA Global’s requests, the task force will look for and identify opportunities where ISACA could/should position itself in the EU market and within EU public policy discussions.

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to place ISACA’s voice.
  • Coordinate objectives and messaging for meetings with EU and national government officials.
  • Potentially attend meetings or join public events on behalf of ISACA, where appropriate to do so.
  • Identify partnership opportunities for ISACA where the organization will benefit from collaboration.
  • Leverage the ability to coordinate efforts to engage in more high-profile public affairs opportunities.
  • Raise ISACA’s profile with the EU and national governments (and appropriate member nation governments) due to the coordinated efforts.
  • Demonstrate measurable results from coordinated efforts.
  • Engage with ISACA European public affairs team to ensure alignment and coordination on initiatives.
  • Provide input into position papers and other ISACA advocacy documents.
  • Task force meetings will be primarily conducted virtually. There is the possibility that an in-person meeting or engagement will be organized at some point during the term.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • ISACA membership required.
  • Knowledge of ISACA frameworks, products, certifications and services.
  • Understanding of public affairs and advocacy is a plus.
  • ISACA certification holders a plus.
  • Resident of the EU, or non-EU resident working directly with EU public policy efforts.

Applications may close early based on volume. Not all who apply will be selected.

Volunteer Benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term.
