Description:

ISACA Members with published Mentor profiles are invited to participate in a Flash Mentorship pilot program at the ISACA Virtual Career Fair. Mentors will connect 1:1 with job seekers to provide guidance, practice interview skills, and answer questions about potential career pathways in 20 minute video conversations.

Anticipated outcomes:

·        Select a two hour shift via Sign Up Genius

·        You will receive a link to the Flash Mentorship virtual booth and instructions for how to create your account.

·        Job seekers will enter the Flash Mentorship booth and have the ability to connect for a 1:1 text-based chat with a Mentor. These connections are automatically assigned based on availability. The conversation can then be elevated to a video chat for up to 20 minutes.

·        The Mentor will have discussion prompts to assist the job seeker in their professional development journey. Topics may include:

  • Practice interview questions: Provide feedback on how the job seeker can respond or present their skillset.
  • CV Review: If the mentor has the applicable experience, consider reviewing the job seeker’s CV and providing feedback.
  • Career Path: Answer questions and share your own experiences with job seekers who may be in your field. For job seekers outside the mentor’s field of expertise, connect over soft skills or transferable skills to help them advance.
