The CDPSE Certification Working Group is designated to support ISACA’s CDPSE Certification program. Members of the Working Group are responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of the certification program and the exam content.

Anticipated Outcomes:

  • Support the exam development process, including:
    • Write and review CDPSE exam items (questions)
    • Approve exam passing point/rate resulting from Standard Setting Analysis.
    • Review and approve exam drafts.
    • Review exam item performance via statistical analysis.
  • Approve requirements for certification.
  • Approve recertification methods and requirements.
  • Review and approve the empirically derived results of the Exam content outline.
  • Review certification appeals and exam administration issues to determine appropriate action.
  • All work is conducted confidentially and may not be shared or discussed outside the working group members and ISACA staff.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Members MUST already hold the CDPSE certification.
  • Diverse member representation required to include geographical areas, industry, and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in one or more core domain areas required.
  • Fluency in English required for productive group discussion.

  • Phone   
  • In-person meeting(s): Meeting attendance is required, typically 2 per year, held at or near ISACA headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, a suburb of Chicago. The number of meetings and location could change based on business requirements and the global health situation. 

Estimated Time Commitment:

  • 2 hours/month
  • Time commitment may vary in months associated with item writing campaigns, item review, and exam file review.
  • In-person and/or remote meetings are typically scheduled for 2 business days.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the required tasks at the end of the term.
  • Working Group members will receive CPEs based on the time spent during the face-to-face meeting on formal review of exam drafts and flagged items. Evidence of actual hours earned for the formal review process will be provided to Working Group members.

 

CDPSE Working Group members may not teach a CDPSE review course or develop CDPSE review materials for a period of 3 years following the last date of service on the Working Group.
