Description:

The Governance of Enterprise Information & Technology Advisory Group will partner with ISACA Global to identify industry trends and support activities required to appropriately create the necessary information and governance content to develop products in support of ISACA’s constituents. New product ideas will be discussed, and products will be prioritized to align with ISACA global strategy.

Anticipated Outcomes:

The Governance of Enterprise Information & Technology Advisory Group will support ISACA by providing advice around the development and delivery of deliverables designed to serve the needs of ISACA’s constituents who are in the governance of enterprise information and technology profession and for those who look to join the profession. Activities may include:

  • Identifying and prioritizing the needs of professionals engaged in providing governance of enterprise information and technology over components of IT governance systems and their application to the entire enterprise.
  • Analyzing the existing market need for governance products and services and identifying ISACA’s position in the market.
  • Identifying and prioritizing the gaps that can be uniquely filled by ISACA frameworks, knowledge products, education, and services.
  • Identifying and/or participating in areas where ISACA can benefit from collaborative development activities, partnerships or other relationships, and/or recommend third parties for consideration.
  • Advising ISACA global on identifying and supporting ISACA Global’s work with the ISO to further ISACA’s strategic objectives and enhance the global awareness of ISACA.

Work will be done primarily by virtual meeting and email. One in-person meeting may be organized during the term (schedule and location TBD), as required.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Current governance role. Expertise and industry representation are preferred over geographic diversity.
  • Understanding the governance market including certifications and sources of knowledge currently available for professionals.
  • Knowledge of ISACA frameworks (especially COBIT 2019, CMMI), products, certifications and services.
  • Knowledge of applicable ISO standards.
  • CGEIT certification preferred.
  • COBIT assessor credential preferred but not required.
  • CMMI appraisal credential preferred but not required.
  • ISACA membership preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel to at least one in-person meeting, if required

Volunteer Benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term.
