Description:

The ISACA Conference North America Support Task Force will work with the Event Manager to develop strategy on the conference execution. The event will be hybrid – virtual and hosted in-person 4-6 May 2022 in New Orleans, LA, USA. Volunteers’ local perspectives, contacts, and networks can ensure that the program meets the needs of ISACA members and professionals interested in learning and networking and delivers an incredible experience. While onsite, task force volunteers are invited to work with ISACA event staff to facilitate a great experience for attendees, and then participate in a debrief to continually enhance the opportunities and deliverables for future North America Conferences.

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Support Conference Planning
    • Attend monthly meeting via Microsoft Teams to discuss the strategy in how we will execute a successful event. This includes one post event debrief call.
    • Marketing - Task Force will recommend appropriate vehicle and communication techniques to increase attendance and awareness of the Conference. Utilize Task Force in various promotion activities (i.e. social media, chapter outreach, industry connections, etc.).
    • Sponsorship – Volunteers understand companies who may have benefit to sponsor at an ISACA event. Volunteers will not act as salespeople but rather provide introductions to grow ISACA’s connections.
    • Provide recommendations for promotional items and vendors to produce onsite materials

ISACA Global will have final decision-making authority on all Conference components and services.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • ISACA membership required
  • Experience and knowledge in the areas of sponsorship, marketing and/or event management
  • Previous ISACA Global conference attendance preferred  
  • Comfortable and confident with speaking in front of large groups preferred
  • Must be fluent in speaking, writing, and reading in English to facilitate productive discussions with ISACA Global
  • Have not submitted an abstract to speak at this conference.
  • Be willing and able to attend the event in person (travel & hotel paid by ISACA) and work on tasks assigned by the ISACA Event Operations team.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term.
  • Complimentary full conference registration for ISACA Conference North America 2022
  • Economy airfare and (3) hotel nights for the conference will be covered by ISACA, per the ISACA travel policy.
  • Opportunity to support conference activities onsite.
  • Conference CPEs may be claimed for session attendance during the conference if schedule permits.
