2020 ISACA Blockchain Framework Development Task Force

Description:

The proposed Blockchain Framework will be designed to aid both blockchain understanding as well as implementation for professionals in the fields of information security, risk management, assurance and governance.

Anticipated outcomes:

The blockchain framework task force will support the development and delivery of a framework for the implementation and testing of blockchain systems in the IT and business environments. As part of this work, the blockchain task force will be:

  • Identifying and prioritizing components of blockchain systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Identifying and prioritizing the gaps in current IT framework guidance for blockchain systems.
  • Creating criteria for blockchain IT system component’s security and compliance.
  • Identifying areas where the blockchain framework can coincide with current frameworks and guidance used by professionals in the field for ease of implementation (i.e. COBIT, ISO, NIST, CMMI, AICPA Trust Criteria).

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Experience with the implementation, testing or security of blockchain technologies within an enterprise.
  • Understanding framework control implementation to ensure security and compliance.
  • Knowledge of IT, risk, and governance frameworks, products, certifications and services.
  • ISACA membership not required.
  • Diverse geographic representation preferred.
  • Ability to connect and collaborate in a virtual meeting system and join teleconferences.
  • One in-person meeting tentatively planned during the term. Location and date TBD.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term (i.e., active participation on an ISACA working group with a charge other than research development, certification review manual development, Knowledge Center contribution, or peer review.)
  • Name listed in publication as contributor
