2021 Oceania Conference Content Task Force

Description:

The Oceania Conference Content Task Force will work with the Speaker Management Specialist and internal ISACA Subject Matter Experts to review and rate abstract submissions to create the conference program for ISACA Conference Oceania 2021, 28-30 September. The conference will be virtual.

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Content Task Force will meet initially via Microsoft Teams to discuss the abstract management portal and how to review submissions.
  • Content Task Force will evaluate conference presentation abstracts based on a provided scorecard/metrics and collaborate with ISACA Global on development of program schedule.
  • A virtual meeting may be scheduled after the grading to provide final recommendations to ISACA on speakers and sessions.
  • ISACA Global will have final decision-making authority on which conference sessions are selected and placed in the program.
  • Each volunteer will be required to score all abstracts submitted.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • ISACA membership required
  • Someone who has attended several ISACA conferences (and plans to attend this conference)
  • Has a good understanding of all the ISACA domains: IT audit, information security, risk, governance, privacy
  • Availability from 5 April – 14 May for conference presentation abstract evaluations
  • Reliable internet connection to be able to conduct the abstract evaluations online
  • Primary residence or full time work experience within Oceania region to fully understand local needs and interests while building the conference program and topics. (Strongly preferred.)
  • Have not submitted an abstract to speak at this conference.
  • Maintain confidentiality of topics, speakers, and selection process. ISACA Global is responsible for communication with all interested speakers.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term.
