Workshop: The Future of NOW - Different Dimensions for a Different Epoch

A special pre-conference workshop with Ramsés Gallego!
As part of ISACA Belgrade Chapter Day 2026, ISACA Belgrade Chapter is pleased to organize a special professional workshop that will take place one day before the conference.
This workshop offers participants an opportunity to explore a wide range of critical topics shaping today’s cybersecurity, governance, and technology landscape in a more interactive and focused learning environment.
Unlike traditional workshops that focus on a single narrow topic, this session follows a multi-dimensional approach, bringing together several key themes that modern professionals must understand in order to successfully navigate today's rapidly evolving digital world.
Participants who attended last year's conference already had the opportunity to experience Ramsés Gallego as an engaging and inspiring speaker. We are therefore particularly pleased to welcome him back to Belgrade for this extended workshop session. The session will be held in English.

Workshop Concept
If there is something constant in the universe, that is the speed of light.
And change.
We are living in times where technological evolution moves faster than ever before. Organizations are under constant pressure to adopt emerging technologies while ensuring security, governance, trust, and resilience.
In an era where technology is deeply embedded in every aspect of business and society, understanding how innovation, governance, cybersecurity, and strategy intersect has become essential.
This workshop will guide participants through several of the most relevant topics influencing today's digital ecosystem and will provide practical insights drawn from real-world global experience.
Rather than focusing on a single vertical topic, the workshop offers a multi-topic perspective designed to stimulate discussion, broaden strategic thinking, and provide actionable insights for modern professionals.
Topics Covered in the Workshop
Identity and Access Management: At the DNA of Every Company
Identity has become the new security perimeter. As organizations move toward cloud environments and distributed infrastructures, effective identity governance becomes fundamental for protecting digital assets.
This session will explore the strategic importance of identity management, modern access control models, and how organizations can implement identity frameworks that support both security and governance.
Building and Running a SOC from Scratch
Security Operations Centers play a crucial role in detecting and responding to cyber threats.
Participants will gain insights into the practical challenges of establishing and operating a SOC, including technologies, processes, staffing models, and governance considerations necessary to build an effective monitoring and incident response capability.
Quantum Computing: A Re-Evolution
Quantum computing is expected to dramatically reshape the future of computing and cybersecurity.
This session will explore how quantum technologies may impact cryptography, digital security, and strategic technology planning, helping participants understand why organizations must start preparing for the post-quantum era today.
Privacy as a Pillar of Modern Society
Privacy has evolved from a legal obligation into a central pillar of digital trust.
Participants will explore how privacy, cybersecurity, governance, and regulation intersect in the digital economy and why integrating privacy considerations into strategic decision-making is becoming essential for organizations worldwide.
The Perfect Storm: Threats & Risks in the Cloud
Cloud computing has transformed the way organizations build and operate IT environments.
However, cloud adoption introduces new threat vectors and risk scenarios. This session will explore security challenges in the cloud, from the cloud, and through the cloud, helping participants understand how to design resilient cloud governance models.
ISACA AI Audit Toolkit
Participants will be introduced to ISACA’s AI Audit Toolkit, designed to help professionals evaluate, govern, and audit AI systems.
This session will provide practical insight into how organizations can approach AI oversight, assess risks associated with AI systems, and integrate structured audit methodologies into emerging AI governance frameworks.
The Art of Public Speaking (Soft Skills Session)
Technical knowledge alone is not enough for modern cybersecurity leaders.
This session focuses on one of the most valuable professional skills: effective communication.
Participants will learn how to structure presentations, engage audiences, communicate complex ideas clearly, and overcome the fear of speaking in front of large groups.
