Exciting Opportunity: Join Our Leadership Team as Chapter Secretary! 

The ISACA Central Florida Chapter is seeking a dedicated and organized professional to join our Chapter Board as Chapter Secretary! This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our chapter's success and engage with fellow cybersecurity, IT governance, and audit professionals.  This role will be in effect until the next Chapter Board Election in Q4 2025. 

🔹 Role Overview:

The Chapter Secretary plays a vital role in ensuring smooth communication and operations within our chapter. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain chapter documentation and records.
  • Assist the chapter president with establishing a chapter calendar, including target dates for task completion.
  • Collaborate with the chapter president to develop an agenda for each board meeting.
  • Administer Board Meetings including taking meeting minutes, recording attendance, and reading minutes from previous meeting(s).
  • Assist with scheduling meetings. Issue meeting notices for board, chapter, and event meetings.
  • Manage surveys of the chapter membership.
  • Update chapter bylaws according to changes approved by the chapter board.

🔹 Who Should Apply? We are looking for someone who is:

  • Able to volunteer 2-3 hours per month.
  • Able to attend monthly Board meetings.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Passionate about ISACA’s mission and the advancement of our profession.
  • Interested in playing a key role in our chapter’s success.

  • Specify Your Position: In the form, clearly indicate that you are applying for the Chapter Secretary role under the position or committee section.

  • Deadline: Submit your application by September 16th.
  • Announcement: The selected candidate will be announced during the first week of October through the Chapter’s general announcement.
