Our Chapter encourages the active participation of our members as a partnership to improve the benefits across our community. Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to innovate and influence the activities within our chapter, while benefiting from remarkable experiences that add to our professional and personal growth.

Chapter Volunteer Criteria:

  • Must be a Chapter Member in good standing
  • Must complete a Willingness to Serve and Conflict of Interest Form
  • Must be appointed by a Chapter Board Member

Chapter Volunteer Benefits:

  • Earn up to 20 CPEs annually that can be counted toward "Working on a board/committee/working group"
  • Expand your professional network and influence the entire Central Florida community
  • Greater insight into Chapter operations and early access to select Chapter programs

Website Admin (Communications Committee)

  • Description: Maintain the design, workflow, and content of the Chapter's website
  • Term:  1-Year
  • Anticipated Outcomes:
    • Complete ISACA Global training (1-hour) and review documentation to manage the Engage Website
    • Upload and maintain website content
    • Review the sitemap and identify areas of improvement 
  • Volunteer Qualifications:
    • Minimal technical skills with a basic understanding of web development
    • Attention to details and good time management skills to plan, schedule and implement updates

Marketing Content Designer (Communications Committee)

  • Description: Create simple card, banner or flyer style content for our website and social media (e.g. engaging and on-brand graphics)
  • Term: Project-based or 1-Year
  • Anticipated Outcomes:
    • Review of ISACA brand standards
    • Weekly, monthly or quarterly assignments to create marketing content (based on your desired schedule) 
  • Volunteer Qualifications:
    • Creative and forward thinking in reaching target audiences
    • Knowlege of marketing tools and social media platforms
    • Strong attention to detail

CommunITy Day Lead (2-3 openings)

  • Description: Plan, schedule, and coordinate charitable opportunities for ISACA's annual CommunITy Day (1st Sat in Oct) and/or during the year.
  • Term:  Project-based
  • Anticipated Outcomes:
    • Identify and submit opportunity proposals for Chapter review/approval (activity, dependencies, costs)
    • Lead planning and logistical coordination tasks to support an opportunity 
    • Work with a Chapter Board member to align operational services required to support an opportunity
    • Encourage community participation 
  • Volunteer Qualifications:
    • Excellent planning, communication, and coordination skills
    • Passion for community service

Community Advocate (Communications Committee)

  • Description: Recruit, plan and coordinate marketing partnerships with groups with similar interests to identify opportunities to better align our programs and member benefits
  • Term: Project-based or 1-Year
  • Anticipated Outcomes:
    • Participate in planning meetings to identify and evaluate current and potential partnerships; and propose program enhancements
    • Be available to engage and respond to inquiries to build and enhance marketing partnership agreements
    •  Increase opportunities of co-hosted events and shared information to expand the community
  • Volunteer Qualifications:
    • Outgoing and pro-active aptitude
    • Strong relationship management skills  

Event Speaker

  • Description: Present as a subject-matter expert in an area of an ISACA domain during a Chapter event (1-hour virtually or 4-8 hours in-person)
  • Term:  Event-based
  • Anticipated Outcomes:
    • Submit a speaker proposal (session overview, bio, head-shot/photo, preferred session options)
    • Work with the Education Director to finalize agreements 
    • Speak/present during a Chapter event
  • Volunteer Qualifications: Overall quality of the proposal for a topic that is cutting-edge or timely for the industry today
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong proposal quality that is cutting-edge or timely for the industry today

Data Analyst (Communications Committee)

  • Description: Review current tools, services and metrics supporting the Communications Program to identify and propose enhancements in value, efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Term:  Project-based
  • Anticipated Outcomes:
    • Participate in 1-2 working sessions to evaluate current program features
    • Identify and propose changes to improve tools and metrics reporting
  • Volunteer Qualifications:
    • Strong analytical skills focused on metric design and reporting
    • Moderate knowledge of Excel
