Spring 2026 Training: Securing and Auditing the Modern Workforce (2-Days)

Starts:  Apr 28, 2026 08:00 (ET)
Ends:  Apr 29, 2026 17:00 (ET)
Associated with  Central Ohio Chapter

Event Summary:

This 16-hour, two-day workshop provides comprehensive technical and strategic training on securing and auditing the modern, decentralized workforce. Participants learn how to govern remote employees, 1099 contractors, and third-party vendors while applying Zero Trust principles and AI governance frameworks in practice.

The course balances governance controls (CRISC, COBIT, CISA Domains) with technical implementation (Zero Trust Architecture, endpoint security, AI risk management) to equip cybersecurity professionals, executives, and auditors with strategies they can apply immediately.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Assess modern attack surfaces created by decentralized workforces, BYOD, and extended vendor ecosystems (including fourth parties).
  • Evaluate and audit Zero Trust security models, including device health–based access and differences from traditional VPN approaches.
  • Design continuous third-party risk management processes, including ongoing vendor compliance monitoring and supply chain risk controls.
  • Understand emerging AI-related risks, including generative AI–driven social engineering, deepfakes, unsanctioned AI usage, and autonomous agents.
  • Integrate AI governance and responsible use, including aligning AI frameworks with IT risk management, conducting AI vendor due diligence, and identifying secure AI use cases for audit and security operations.
