Chapter Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering with your local Central Ohio Chapter is a great way to become an active member of ISACA! Opportunities can range from one-time tasks to committee involvement or chapter board leadership roles.

Academic Relations

  • Description: Academic Relations is exploring visits to several central Ohio campuses this fall and gearing up for the Spring 2025 ISACA Central Ohio Chapter Cybersecurity Fellows Program. Our goal is to introduce college students to the profession and promoting digital trust. Are you interested in visiting a college campus, conduct a case study, or being part of the Fellows selection committee? If so, please complete the following interest survey.

Newsletter

  • Description: Supports the chapter by planning, drafting, and distributing monthly or quarterly newsletters to members. Responsibilities include gathering updates from chapter leadership and committees, summarizing events and announcements, coordinating content submissions, and formatting/publishing the final newsletter. This role helps keep members informed, engaged, and connected to chapter activities and professional development opportunities.
  • Estimated commitment: ~3–5 hours per month for a monthly newsletter; ~6–10 hours per quarter for a quarterly newsletter (planning, content coordination, drafting, and distribution).Time may vary slightly around major events or special announcements.

SheLeadsTech

  • Description: The SheLeadsTech volunteer supports initiatives that advance women in technology, risk, audit, and cybersecurity within the chapter and local community. Responsibilities may include helping plan and promote SheLeadsTech events, coordinating speakers or mentorship opportunities, contributing content or ideas for programming, and supporting outreach to students and professionals interested in the field. This role helps foster inclusion, professional growth, and networking opportunities across the Central Ohio technology community.
  • Estimated commitment: ~3–6 hours per month on average. Time may increase slightly during event planning periods or major chapter initiatives.
