As an Audit Engagement Manager, you'll serve as a subject matter expert responsible for managing and executing multiple Information Technology audit projects that identify, evaluate, and communicate opportunities to mitigate risk, strengthen internal controls, and enhance customer value. You’ll oversee project quality, timelines, and budgets while preparing clear, concise audit documentation and reports that drive actionable insights. Effective communication and collaboration with both team members and senior management will be essential, ensuring that audit findings are objective, constructive, and aligned with organizational goals.
As part of AEP’s customer-first mission, you’ll contribute to maintaining the security, reliability, and integrity of IT systems by reviewing general computing controls, verifying security and system functionality, and advising on process and control design during system implementations. You’ll apply your expertise in IT and cybersecurity to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations while leveraging data analytics—preferably using Power BI—to enhance audit effectiveness. This role combines technical proficiency with strategic impact, helping AEP deliver safe, innovative, and customer-centered energy solutions.
