It is with deep sadness that we announce that we were informed of the passing of Sam Buhrow and Bill Robotham who were members of the Phoenix Information Security community. (Thank you Kim Jones)
Sam Buhrow, CISSP, GLEG passed unexpectedly last Tuesday night (July 14) in his home with his wife and daughter. Although not currently an active member of our chapter, many will remember him from past interactions. Katherine Bluma writes: “Words cannot describe the loss we feel as this man was a beautiful genius who had enough love for everyone and always a smile. He will be missed more than words can say.”
Bill Robotham, CISSP passed away on July 16 due to pulmonary issues. He was 49. David Hoid writes: “Bill was a great security professional and a fine man, bar none. He had worked on my teams in various roles for over 15 years. This is particularly devastating for Bill’s daughter, who lost her mother in the Towers on 9/11."
In order to both honor these individuals and help provide for those they left behind, GoFundMe sites have been established.
