Roles Description Summaries

President
The President is the leader of the chapter, responsible for overseeing all chapter activities and initiatives. They provide strategic direction, lead board meetings, and represent the chapter in external forums. The president also fosters relationships with other professional organisations and promotes the ISACA brand within the local community.

Vice President
The Vice President supports the president in their duties and assumes their responsibilities in their absence. They may oversee specific committees or projects, assist in strategic planning, and liaise with other chapter leaders and members.

Treasurer
The Treasurer manages the chapter's finances, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. They collect dues, disburse funds for chapter activities, and ensure proper financial controls are in place, including insurance arrangements. The treasurer also prepares financial statements, tax returns and reports for the chapter board. An accountancy qualification is a requirement.

Company Secretary
The Company Secretary is responsible for maintaining the chapter records. They document meeting minutes and ensure adherence to external regulations, for example, data protection, and compliance with ISACA's bylaws and policies.

Academic Relations and Research Director
This Academic Relations and Research Director serves as the liaison for local academic institutions, makes recommendations for sponsorship of academic activities and may represent the chapter on committees for joint events.

Communications Director
The Communications Director manages the chapter's internal and external communications. They run and oversee the chapter website, social media accounts, newsletters, and other communication channels. The communications team promotes chapter events, shares relevant industry news and resources, and fosters dialogue among members.

Events Director
The Events Director oversees all of the events that the Chapter organises, including planning, coordinating, execution and devaluation of chapter events and activities.

External Relations Director
The External Relations Director focuses on building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including other professional organisations and industry partners.

Government and Regulatory Affairs (GRA) Director
The Government and Regulatory Affairs Director represents the interests of the chapter and its members in regulatory, legislative, and industry forums and informs members of regulatory and legal developments related to ISACA domains and certifications.

Marketing Director
Marketing Director is responsible for assisting with publicity for chapter events and interacting with media contacts to obtain coverage of chapter events. This team also provides marketing material and promotional items for internal and external events.

Membership, Certification and Training Director
Membership, Certification and Training Director oversees the chapter's professional development and training programs. They coordinate with trainers, speakers, and venues to organise seminars, workshops, and certification exam preparation courses. This Director also evaluates member training needs and ensures that chapter activities align with ISACA's educational objectives.
