IT Auditors are in a key position to assist the Organization in providing insights on their business environment’s internal controls through the use of data analytics. IT auditors (1) can translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audience, (2) has proficiency in the audit process and the evidence requirements for audit observations and recommendations and (3) has the detailed understanding of the business processes and relevant application systems.
These needed evidences both from a transactional and master records reside in the organization’s database environment and can be analyzed using SQL.
