Welcome to the Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA

Our aim is to sponsor local educational seminars and workshops, conduct regular chapter meetings, and help to further promote and elevate the visibility of the IS audit, control and security profession throughout Middle Tennessee.

Chapter News

Best Practices for AWS and IT Audit
Our chapter heard from Andrew Clark, Data Economist from BlockScience about the growing prevalence of enterprise cloud computing. This presentation went over best practices for enterprise-grade AWS deployment and the risks associated with a cloud computing environment. Chapter members can find the slides he presented here.

Annual Chapter Meeting

The 2019 Annual Meeting for the Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA was held at Maggiano's Little Italy on Thursday, May 9th. A three-course lunch was provided. At this meeting, we heard from several current board members as they reviewed chapter business from the past year, presented the new board for the next year, and reviewed plans for upcoming initiatives.

Hands On - Windows Server IT Audit Training
This event was sponsored and hosted By Formos Consulting LLC and Microsoft. With the prevalence of Windows and Active Directory in the Enterprise environment, auditors need to understand the security model used by these products and the risks that are present. Although many auditors are generally familiar with the basics of auditing these systems, often the audit procedures are executed by individuals who don't have a deep understanding of why they're auditing what they're auditing. The goal of this course was to bridge that gap and provide a deeper understanding of the security model and capabilities, along with the options available for auditing.

Chapter Meeting: DevSecOps and IT Audit: A Panel Event
As IT professionals, we understand the terms Development, Security, and Operations. But place them together as DevSecOps and the terms combined refer to Agile Development, Cyber Security, and IT Operations. That’s a lot for our featured moderators and panelists to unpack in an hour plus with your questions...but we were ready for the challenge! The event took place on Tuesday, February 19th from 11:30 to 1:00 at the Lipscomb Spark Idea Center in Cool Springs.

Spring 2019 CISA Review Course
This CISA review course was offered from April 22nd to April 26th.
