2021 Cybersecurity Certification Development Interviews

ISACA has engaged with a trusted market research firm, Strategy Analytics, to better understand our cybersecurity certification offerings and audience, including but not limited to CSX-P certification program and CSX-P exam prep materials. We are looking for individuals to participate in a 45 minute, 1:1 video interview at a date and time convenient to you. 1 CPE credit and a $100 ISACA bookstore credit will be awarded to those who are selected and then complete the interview process. All information you provide will be strictly confidential.

Applications will be reviewed and sent to the research firm who will contact selected volunteers directly to schedule their meeting. By applying you are granting ISACA permission to share your application with the firm to ensure a diverse and qualified group of participants is selected. Interview slots are limited, and not all applications may be accepted.

Anticipated outcomes:

Ideas, experiences and anecdotes shared confidentially in these interviews will help:

• Influence the development of ISACA cybersecurity certifications, currently CSX-P
• Enable ISACA to respond to the needs of current cybersecurity practitioners and support career growth

Volunteer Criteria:

• ISACA Membership not required.
• Geographic area representation considered.
• Internet connectivity to participate in a 1:1 interview for approx 45 minutes.
• Volunteers representing each of the following categories:
  1. Current CSX-P certification holders
  2. Former (lapsed) CSX-P holders
  3. Those who have taken a CSX-P exam in the past 12 months
  4. Those who have purchased CSX-P prep materials in the past 12 months
  5. Those who meet the criteria for a CSX-P certification, but who have chosen not to take the CSX-P exam. Criteria for this group would be:
     • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in primary security role AND
     • Intermediate to advance working knowledge in the following areas (Network Scanning, Specialized Port Scans, Network Topologies, Network Log Analysis, Centralized Monitoring, Hotfix Distribution, Vulnerability Scanning, Traffic Monitoring, Compromise Indicators, False Positive Identification, Packet Analysis, User Account Controls)

Volunteer benefits:

• Up to 1 CPE credit (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the interview
• US$100 ISACA bookstore credit upon successful completion of the interview
