Description:

The ISACA Student Group (ISG) Task Force will provide input on ISACA’s purpose and strategy for ISGs and influence key governance and operations procedures for ISGs.  

Anticipated outcomes: 

The ISG Task Force will support the development and delivery of new materials and systems for ISG formation and compliance:

  • Provide feedback on ISACA’s ISG strategy, enabling stronger engagement and  support of the next generation of professionals.
  • Identify new, and evaluate existing, governance policies and procedures that are sustainable for ISGs and enable ISACA to monitor ISG health and compliance.
  • Inform and provide feedback on a new online application process for ISG formation.  
  • Analyze and test new tools to report any barriers/successes.
  • Provide insight into the ways ISACA can best resource and communicate with ISGs. 

Volunteer Criteria: 

  • Current university student or recently graduated (undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, etc.), OR
  • Faculty advisor currently or recently supporting (within 1-2 years) a university ISG  
  • Current or recent participation with an ISACA Student Group, leadership experience preferred 
  • ISACA membership preferred but not required
  • Global geographical representation 

Volunteer Benefits:  

  • Contribute to the future development of ISACA Student Groups by enabling ISACA to provide relevant resources and benefits. 
  • Support current and future students in the IS/IT industry who can rely on ISGs and ISACA as a supportive community and network. 
  • Up to 7 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term.
