Description:

The Practice Analysis Task Force is responsible for updating the CISA job practice to ensure the content tested remains relevant for 3 years information system auditing. 

 

Anticipated outcomes: 

The task force will work with PSI for the CISA program: 

  •  Support the certification development process, including: 
  • Participate in the Job Practice Study.
  • Create the Exam Content Outline (ECO).
  • Participate in the Standard Setting Study to create the passing point of the exam.
  • Attend a two-day in-person meeting to develop a draft of the knowledge required and tasks performed.
    • Meeting Date: 13-14 August 2026 in Suburban Chicago, Illinois, USA.
  • Participate in a pilot test of a survey to review and rate the tasks and knowledge areas developed by the PATF(Survey Date TBD) 
  • Attend a remote 1-day meeting to review the results of the practice analysis survey and to review and approve the empirically derived test specification for the exam content outline. 
    • Meeting Date: 6 October 2026
  • It is expected the job analysis will be completed by February 2027.
  • All work is conducted confidentially and may not be shared or discussed outside the working group members and ISACA staff. 

 

 Volunteer Criteria:

  • Members must already hold a CISA certification. 
  • Diverse member representation required to include geographical areas, industry, and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in CISA Exam Domains    
  • Fluency in English required for productive group discussion. 

Volunteer benefits:  

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term
