Description:

ISACA is releasing a new certification, Certified Cybersecurity Operations Analyst (CCOA), aimed at professionals with 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity We are seeking insights on how this certification might impact professionals in the industry and how best to position it for maximum value and relevance. We would specifically like insight from mentors and hiring managers in the industry on their views on the benefits and value of the certification when making hiring and training decisions.  

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Already registered for 2024 ISACA Europe Conference in Dublin.
  • Commit to participate on 24 October 2024 12:00 – 13:00 for a focus group. 
  • Holds a CISM Certification or is a mentor with cybersecurity background.
  • Be in a position to make hiring decisions.

Anticipated Outcomes: 

  • Gauge reactions from hiring managers/CISMs on the CCOA program. 

  • Understand the skills gap/pain points they experience with new and current staff. 

  • Walk through the evaluation process for new training/credential programs for staff. 

  • Get feedback on how we can position CCOA to meet hiring managers needs and get it on job descriptions. 

Volunteer benefits:  

  • 1 CPE credit (max. 20 annually) in) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the term  

  • Influence ISACA’s products, services and offerings related to cybersecurity 

  • Network with other conference attendees. 

  • Lunch will be provided.
