Description:

Volunteers will help review ISACA's update for the IT Audit Framework (ITAF) book.

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Volunteers will review the Korean translation of the ITAF book.
  • Adhere to style guides and translation guidelines provided by ISACA staff facilitator. 
  • Available for timely response to questions (email) as translation vendor implements review-related updates.  
  • Validate the accuracy and quality of translated content for exam candidates and members. 
    • Help identify grammatical errors or misused/incorrect terminology
  • If the translation of the content does not convey the message, please provide an alternative translation. Stay as close to the English content as possible but ensure that the message is clear to the native reader.
  • Prioritize clarity and simplicity over stylistic edits
  • Use the ISACA terminology list for referencing acronyms and terms. If you feel a term in the list requires correction, please include that information in a comment for consideration.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • ISACA membership required 
  • Native/fluent language proficiency required (Korean) 
  • Working / business proficiency required (English)
  • Reliable internet connection to use an online review tool
  • Previous translation review experience preferred but not required
  • CISA certification preferred but not required
  • Available to complete either review in no more than three weeks

Volunteer benefits

  • Up to 10 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the term.
