Description:

The UK Advocacy Working Group will coordinate ISACA advocacy efforts across the UK with the goal of streamlining efforts and ensuring one consistent voice.

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to place ISACA’s voice
  • Coordinate objectives, messaging and representatives to attend the meetings with government officials
  • Identify partnership opportunities for ISACA where the organization will benefit from collaboration
  • Leverage the ability to coordinate efforts to engage in more high-profile public affairs opportunities
  • Raise ISACA’s profile with UK government due to the coordinated efforts
  • Demonstrate measurable results from coordinated efforts
  • Engage with ISACA European public affairs team to ensure alignment and coordination on initiatives

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Resident of the UK
  • ISACA Membership required
  • Current or recent experience as an ISACA chapter leader
  • Understanding of public affairs and ISACA’s strategy in the UK market
  • Knowledge of ISACA frameworks, products, certifications and services

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups (i.e., active participation on an ISACA working group with a charge other than research development, certification review manual development, Knowledge Center contribution, or peer review.)
