Description:

Volunteers will help review various CISA certification exam prep materials to ensure a quality French translation. 

 

Anticipated outcomes:

  • Volunteers will be assigned with exam-prep material (Review Manual, study book, QAE, or Instructor-Led Training materials (ILT)) and will review the French translation. 
  • Adhere to style guides and translation guidelines provided by ISACA staff facilitator.
  • Available for timely response to questions (email) as translation vendor implements review-related updates.  
  • Validate the accuracy and quality of translated content for exam candidates and members. 
  • Help identify grammatical errors or misused/incorrect terminology
  • During the review period, volunteers will be asked to complete work within an agreed upon 2-week timeframe. 

 

Volunteer Criteria:

  • CISA certification required
  • ISACA membership required
  • Native/fluent language proficiency required (French)
  • Working / business proficiency required (English)
  • Available to participate within a strict two-week timeline. 
  • Reliable internet connection to use an online review tool
  • Previous translation review experience preferred but not required

 

Volunteer benefits: 

  • Selected volunteers will self-claim up to 20 CPE credits in MyISACA (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the term. CPEs are calculated based on 1 CPE per active hour of volunteer service up to the maximum allowed. A letter will be provided from the staff facilitator to verify your activities as audit documentation.  
  • Expand ISACA certification offerings to our global community
  • Ensure the exams and exam review materials are of the highest integrity and accuracy.
