2024 IT Audit Focus Groups

ISACA is exploring opportunities to enhance the recognition of individuals who have passed the CISA certification exam but have not yet met the experience requirements for full certification. We are seeking insights on how this initiative might impact professionals in the industry and how best to position it for maximum value and relevance. ISACA student members who qualify are encouraged to participate.

Qualified Volunteers will fit into one of these three specific categories (see additional Volunteer Criteria below)

CISA Exam Passers: (12 total)

• Passed CISA exam in past six months but does not have enough experience to apply for certification 

CISA Exam Studiers: (12 total)

• Planning to take the CISA exam in the next 6 months, and if passes, will not have enough experience to become certified  

CISA Certification Holder: (12 total)

• Certified in the past 2 years/ 5+ years ago

Anticipated Outcomes:

• Each online focus group will have between 4-6 participants and will be facilitated by trained moderators from SA Market Insights, ISACA’s trusted research vendor. ISACA staff may also participate in the session.
• Discussions will be conducted and facilitated in English.
• Focus group discussions will last approximately 2 hours.
• Selected volunteers must have a video camera (and stable internet connection) and turn it on for the duration of the discussion.
• Group discussions will be recorded for internal ISACA research use only.
• Activities are scheduled to take place between October 28 and November 4.
• Space is limited. Not all applications will be approved based on needed volunteer composition. 

Volunteer Criteria:

• ISACA membership required.
• Passed CISA exam in past six months but does not have enough experience to apply for certification (12 total) OR
• Planning to take the CISA exam in the next 6 months, and if passes, will not have enough experience to become certified  (12 total) OR
• CISA Certified in the past 2 years/ 5+ years ago

Volunteer Benefits:

• Up to 2 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term.
• Contribute to the development of ISACA's credentialing portfolio.
