ISACA is seeking volunteers to give pre-launch feedback on a new ISACA online course: AI Threat Landscape: Attacks, Risk, and Security Measures.

Description of Course: 

Description: 

Artificial intelligence offers great promise, but its unique architecture and dependence on data make it susceptible to ever-changing threats. This course explores the threat landscape targeting artificial intelligence systems; the vulnerabilities that enable these threats; and the critical security strategies designed to protect AI's integrity, reliability, and responsible use. This course has a seat time of approximately 3 hours and is accessed via the Learning Access tab of your MyISACA dashboard. 

 

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

    • Identify and describe elements of risk.

    • Distinguish between potential and actual harm.

    • Identify different ways of categorizing threat events.

    • Identify common types of vulnerabilities and associated causes.

    • Identify data-related vulnerabilities.

    • Identify user-related vulnerabilities.

    • Identify model-related vulnerabilities.

    • Discuss sources of useful aids to mitigate AI risk.

    • Identify infrastructure-related vulnerabilities.

    • Discuss the importance of physical security with regards to AI.

    • Identify insider threat motivations.

    • Distinguish categories of security controls.

    • Identify attack types.

Why This Course Matters: The course offers a comprehensive survey of the main types of threats that developers and users of AI systems should know about and how to mitigate them.

Volunteer Expectations / Anticipated outcomes: 

  • Selected volunteers will receive the ISACA course for free, and in exchange, must agree to complete the 3-hour online, self-paced course between 31 October and 8 November 2024. 

  • After course completion, volunteers must complete the online post-course feedback survey. 

  • Volunteers must agree to confidentiality and may not share the course or any contents with others; it is a pre-public launch course in beta testing.

  • Space is limited. Not all applications will be approved based on needed volunteer composition.  

    Volunteer Criteria:

    • ISACA membership required.
    • ISACA certification not required.  

    Volunteer benefits 

    • 3 CPE for completing the beta course. 

    • Course will be offered free to volunteers selected for participation.

    • Contribute to the creation/advancement of best-in-class ISACA training resources related to AI.
