Description:

This group of volunteers will participate in the review of a white paper about the role of data management in privacy, specifically applying the CMMI Data Management Maturity (DMM) model. Topics covered in the white paper include data management, data protection, privacy and privacy impact assessments, and DMM assessments.

Anticipated outcomes:

The volunteers will support the delivery of a white paper on the topic of privacy by reviewing a draft white paper for technical accuracy.

It is expected that the draft document will be available for review by mid-to-late February 2021. Volunteer reviewers will have a couple weeks to complete their reviews and to provide feedback to the ISACA Privacy Professional Practices Associate. The timeline may adjust depending on production schedule.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Current knowledge of and experience in privacy.
  • Familiarity with the CMMI’s Data Management Maturity (DMM) model.
  • Knowledge of privacy laws, specifically GDPR.
  • Geographic area considered for diversity.
  • ISACA membership not required.

Volunteer benefits:

  • Up to 3 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the review.
