Description:

The SheLeadsTech Advisory Group serves in a non-governing position as key thought leaders to help shape strategy and programming for the global SheLeadsTech initiative. The Advisory Group will participate in programming, outreach, and advocacy efforts in their regions as well.

Anticipated outcomes:

The SheLeadsTech Advisory Group supports the strategy and development of SheLeadsTech including:

  • Support, resource, and advise on strategic plan, development, and facilitation of various SLT initiatives including:
    • Global advocacy
    • Global Events and Activities
    • Regional relationship building with chapters and external partners
    • Toolkits and Resources 
    • Allyship programming
    • Promote the SheLeadsTech scholarship
  • Lead ad hoc working groups or projects as assigned
  • Actively participate in the SheLeadsTech online discussions in Engage
  • Review evaluation results as aggregated from SheLeadsTech activities and use lessons learned to inform next steps and opportunities in increasing the SheLeadsTech footprint
  • Commit to the global adoption and growth of SheLeadsTech
  • Collaborate and communicate with volunteer SheLeadsTech Regional Advocates regularly and as needed, to support the growth and development of regional volunteer network and initiatives, and to disseminate information from global to regional and chapter audiences.

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Must be an ISACA Member who identifies as female
  • An understanding of and empathy for the challenges women in digital trust professions face throughout their careers.
  • Commitment to removing barriers to ensure all levels of digital trust are accessible to women.
  • Must sign-up for SheLeadsTech Engage online community
  • Knowledge of ISACA frameworks, products, certifications, and services.
  • Geographic area representation required.
  • Commitment to participate in bimonthly teleconferences and email communications to move projects forward as needed.
  • Commitment to collaboration with SheLeadsTech Regional Advocates. 

Volunteer Benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term. This activity does not align to an Exam Content Outline (ECO).
  • Influence opportunities to enable more women to advance in the tech workforce
