Description:

This group of volunteers will participate in the review of an audit program on ransomware preparedness. The group’s deliverable will consist of feedback on the technical accuracy of the audit program’s content as well as assessment of whether the audit program’s controls and test steps are aligned with current best practices.

It is expected that the draft document will be available for review by October 6, 2022. The timeline may be modified, however, depending on ISACA’s production schedule.


Anticipated Outcomes:

The volunteers will support the delivery of the final deliverable by reviewing a draft audit program for:

  • Technical accuracy; and
  • Alignment with current best practices

Volunteer Criteria (required):

  • Current knowledge of best practices and controls related to IT security, particularly threats from ransomware.
  • Practical experience planning and conducting IT security audits
  • CISA certification

Volunteer Criteria (preferred):

  • Certification(s) in security (e.g., CSX-P, CISSP, CEH, GSEC, other)
  • Geographic area representation preferred

Volunteer Benefits:

  • Up to 4 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Contributions to the Profession upon successful completion of the term.
