Description:

The CCS QAE Manual Quality Assurance Team (QAT) will write new questions, review the existing CCS Review Questions, Answers & Explanations (QAE) Manual and database along with newly submitted items to ensure the quality and the usefulness of the CCS QAE Manual and database for certification exam prep. 

 

Anticipated outcomes:

The CCS QAT will assist in the development of the CCS QAE Manual and Database to ensure a quality product that is a useful study aid for CCS exam candidates.  

Activities include: 

  • Participate in an orientation kick-off call
  • Review newly submitted items to accept items for improvement of the existing item bank and exam prep materials (review criteria will be provided)
  • Attend virtual item workshops over the course of a week to approve or reject new items
  • As needed, write new questions to be included in the material. 

 

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Fluency in English (written, verbal skills)
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in cybersecurity, security, or related field
  • Knowledge of the required roles, responsibilities and knowledge base of early career cybersecurity professionals
  • Secure and stable internet connection and ability to use teleconferencing software and item database review software platform
  • May not have served on the CCS Exam Item Development Working Group or CCS Certification Working Group 

 Preferred: 

  • Cybersecurity fundamentals certificate and/or CCOA
  • Training and education experience
  • Geographic area distribution
  • Industry distribution  

 

Volunteer benefits:  

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the assigned activities. This activity is aligned to an Exam Content Outline (ECO).
  •  Maintain the high standards of quality of ISACA credentialing material
  • Potential to impact future educational offerings for digital trust professionals
