Description:

ISACA is developing a Certified Cybersecurity Specialist Review Manual for cybersecurity and infosecurity professionals. Volunteers will assist ISACA’s Credentialing Review Materials team in its development to support exam candidates in passing a potential upcoming Certified Cybersecurity Specialist Exam.  

Anticipated outcomes: 

Volunteers will provide SME expertise to ensure that the Certified Cybersecurity Specialist Review Manual is accurate and relevant and provide suggestions for improvement.  

Volunteers review an assigned chapter for the Certified Cybersecurity Specialist Review Manual and provide feedback for improvements. 

Deliverables include: 

  • Certified Cybersecurity Specialist Review Manual 

 

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Fluency in English (written, verbal skills)  
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in cybersecurity, security, or related field  
  • Knowledge of the required roles, responsibilities and knowledge base of early career cybersecurity professionals  
  • Secure and stable internet connection and ability to use teleconferencing software and item database review software platform  
  • May not have served on the CCS Exam Item Development Working Group or CCS Certification Working Group  

  Preferred 

  • Cybersecurity Fundamentals Certificate and/or CCOA 
  • Training and education experience  
  • Geographic area distribution  
  • Industry distribution  

Volunteer benefits:  

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the assigned activities. This activity is aligned to an Exam Content Outline (ECO).
