Description:

The SheLeadsTech Regional Advocates will facilitate connections between the SheLeadsTech chapter liaisons and the global SheLeadsTech Advisory Group. Regional Advocates will coordinate communications and support creating regional and/or multi-chapter SheLeadsTech events as the chapters in the region desire. Regional Advocates will also advise chapters that wish to start or revitalize local SheLeadsTech programs.

The global SheLeadsTech Advisory Group will ensure Regional Advocates are apprised of global initiatives, tools and resources to disseminate to chapter liaisons, support growth and development of the Regional Advocate group, and attend regional virtual meetings when appropriate. They will also report on regional impact of SheLeadsTech activities.   

Anticipated Outcomes:

The SheLeadsTech Regional Advocates support the chapters in localizing and executing the global strategy and building more participation and awareness of SheLeadsTech.

  • Collaborate with SheLeadsTech Advisory Group representative and ISACA Global
  • Disseminate information to ISACA Chapters and collect feedback to share with the SLT Advisory Group and ISACA Global
  • Coordinate chapter connections and interactions within the region
  • Advise chapters on SheLeadsTech strategy and program operations when needed
  • Connect with other Regional Advocates during bimonthly meetings
  • Actively participate in the SheLeadsTech online discussions in Engage
  • Develop partnerships or collaborate (as appropriate) with other organizations promoting women in tech
  • Submit semiannual report on regional activities and impact by chapters

Estimated Time Commitment:

  • 2-4 hours/month
  • Attend bimonthly volunteer group meetings, held on the first Tuesday of the month*
    • The January 2026 kick-off meeting will be held on the second Tuesday, 13 January.
    • Proceeding meetings will be held in February, April, June, August, October, December
  • Host quarterly virtual meetings for Liaisons and chapters in your region (approx. 1 hour each)
  • Ongoing updates and communications via email

Volunteer Criteria:

  • Must be an ISACA Member who identifies as female
  • Current or recent SheLeadsTech Chapter Liaison experience required; other previous chapter leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to dedicate necessary resources of time and leadership to produce deliverables and forward momentum within the region.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to coordinate chapter connections
  • An understanding of and empathy for the challenges women in digital trust professions face throughout their careers.
  • Commitment to removing barriers to ensure all levels of digital trust are accessible to women.
  • Must sign-up for SheLeadsTech Engage online community
  • Knowledge of ISACA frameworks, products, certifications, and services.
  • Geographic area representation required.

Volunteer Benefits:

  • Up to 20 CPE credits (max. 20 annually) in the area of Working on ISACA Boards/Committees/Working Groups upon successful completion of the term. This activity does not align to an Exam Content Outline (ECO).
