Dear Member,

In alignment with the ISACA London Chapter (ILC) Board of Directors' governance obligations and adherence to industry best practices, the ILC leadership team is seeking volunteers for the Chapter's Nomination Committee (NomCo). Roles and Responsibilities of the NomCo:

The primary responsibility of the Nomination Committee is to fairly and objectively seek, evaluate, and nominate qualified candidates (members) for election to the ILC Board. The Committee's mission is to ensure that the ILC Board remains strategically focused by identifying members who can provide strong, forward-thinking leadership that aligns with the Chapter's goals and global leadership ambitions. Members of the Committee are expected to uphold the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality throughout the nomination process.

A detailed terms of reference will be communicated upon the formation of the Committee.

Required Skills and Experience:

To maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the Nomination Committee, we seek members with the following qualifications:

  1. Experience or familiarity with governance, leadership selection, or similar processes.

  2. A strong understanding of the ILC’s mission, values, and strategic objectives.

  3. Current senior management experience is highly desirable.

Timeline of Service:

Service on the Nomination Committee will span a minimum period of 12 months, with the primary task expected to be completed within 2 months. During this time, members will be required to participate in meetings, either in person or virtually. Specific timelines and the meeting schedule will be communicated once the Committee is formed.

Benefits of Volunteering:

Serving on the Nomination Committee offers several benefits, including:

  1. Leadership Influence: Play a direct role in selecting future ILC Board members who will steer the Chapter’s direction.

  2. Networking: Collaborate with respected members of the ILC, expanding your professional connections.

  3. Professional Development: Gain valuable experience in governance, leadership selection, and strategic decision-making. This is particularly more relevant for student members serving as observers.

  4. Continuous Professional Education (CPE): Committee members will be awarded appropriate CPE credits for their time and contribution.

We encourage all eligible members who are passionate about the future of the ILC and possess the necessary experience to express their interest in joining the Nomination Committee.
