ISACA Vancouver Chapter

Our Goal:
The goal of the Vancouver Chapter is to promote the practices and the development of professionals in IT risk management, governance of enterprise IT,  information security management, and IT assurance within the local business, academic community, the chapter membership, and with future chapter members throughout the Greater Vancouver area.

We sponsor local educational seminars and workshops, as well as conduct regular chapter meetings.

This chapter is run by volunteers who are ISACA® members nominated through ISACA® Annual General Meeting (AGM). ISACA® members' participation in running the chapter is highly encouraged.

As the President of ISACA Vancouver, I'm excited to share our journey as a leading community of nearly 900 experts dedicated to shaping the fields of cybersecurity, audit, privacy, and risk management.
Our Vision: "Elevating the Positive Potential of Technology" Our chapter aims to enhance how technology is used, ensuring it serves as a force for good—improving productivity, solving societal problems, and advancing economic and personal development. By "elevating," we mean not only increasing the use of technology but also improving the quality and impact of technological advancements. Our focus is on creating opportunities for innovation, supporting responsible tech practices, and fostering a community where technology professionals can thrive and lead in making these positive changes a reality.
Our Mandate
Our chapter empowers its members in Vancouver and beyond through education, networking, and leadership development in IT governance, risk management, cybersecurity, and privacy. Each initiative and program is carefully crafted to advance members’ professional journeys and deepen their expertise in these critical areas.

  • Elevating Tech and Cyber Expertise: With Vancouver set to host next year's Web Summit, our chapter's drive to establish the city as a leading tech and cybersecurity hub has never been stronger.
  • Advancing Professional Development: Our chapter’s commitment to continuous growth is reflected in its  mentorship programs, educational workshops, and certification opportunities, all designed to equip members for the evolving tech landscape.
  • Promoting Diversity and Inclusion: Our chapter celebrates diversity, fostering an inclusive environment where every member can thrive. It is dedicated to nurturing this strength, believing a diverse community is a strong community.
  • Strengthening Partnerships and Community Engagement: Collaboration is key to our success. Our chapter actively works with local governments, educational institutions, and industry groups to enhance our influence and improve the cybersecurity / technology ecosystem in our region. .
