At the ISACA Vancouver Chapter, we are proud to support individuals who demonstrate resilience, passion, and a commitment to making cybersecurity more inclusive and secure. One such inspiring professional is Shraddha Manjunath, a recipient of the OneInTech Scholarship, who recently completed her Master of Science in Cybersecurity at the New York Institute of Technology, Vancouver.
Shraddha’s journey into cybersecurity is a story of perseverance. "Throughout my life, I have always had the attitude of ‘Never give up,’" she shares. She spent three years meticulously planning each step toward her dream of earning a cybersecurity degree. "With determination fueling my spirit, I took a bold leap, securing an education loan, allowing me to chase my dreams even amidst the storm." Her dedication has now led her to a role as a Business and Compliance Coordinator at Magna International, where she is helping to strengthen Cybersecurity Standards and Compliance frameworks within the automotive industry.
Her passion for cybersecurity is deeply rooted in the drive to protect organizations from evolving cyber threats while fostering environments that prioritize Diversity, Equity, and Integrity. Recognizing the importance of diverse voices in tech, Shraddha has taken an active role in advocacy. "As a volunteer and coordinator for SheLeadsTech ISACA, I am committed to advocating for women in technology, breaking barriers, and contributing to a more inclusive cybersecurity industry."
The OneInTech Scholarship played a pivotal role in her journey, providing crucial financial relief and enabling her to invest in resources essential for her professional growth. But for Shraddha, the impact of ISACA extends far beyond financial support. "ISACA has been instrumental in shaping my career aspirations—introducing me to a global network of professionals, providing invaluable mentorship, and reinforcing my commitment to Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)."
Her vision for the future is clear: "My goal is to leverage my experience and skills to drive compliance excellence, mitigate risks, and implement robust security frameworks that help organizations thrive in an ever-evolving cyber landscape."
At ISACA Vancouver, we celebrate Shraddha’s remarkable journey and her unwavering commitment to making cybersecurity more secure, inclusive, and accessible. Her story exemplifies the power of education, mentorship, and determination—qualities that make her a leader in the field. We look forward to seeing the lasting impact she will continue to make in cybersecurity and beyond.
