Mayank Nagpal is an aspiring professional (or more commonly known as an emerging professional) in the field of Security and Audit. He has been in the field of Technology Talent Acquisition for more than ten years. He currently leads a team of recruiters engaged in filling niche technology roles. After coming in contact with security and risk professionals through his job, and having become intrigued about the field of cybersecurity, risk and audit, he decided to move into this direction.Guided by a few friends and after some research, he embarked on this journey by becoming a member of ISACA and seeking the guidance of its long-term members. He passed the CISA and Security+ exams recently and is currently preparing for further certifications. He is captivated by the subjects and wishes to become a full-time member of this industry.During this process, he decided to become more closely involved with the NY Metropolitan chapter. His first experience was as a class volunteer for Mr Jay Ranade’s CISA class as a member of the Certification committee. In 2019 he has been an integral part of a very dedicated and inspiring volunteer team as a member of the Membership Committee.

He regards his volunteer experience with ISACA no different from any other position of responsibility he currently holds or has held in the past. The events organized have ranged in subject and content and have attracted a very diverse set of professionals in the industry. He has gained access to the knowledge and experience of some of these professionals who continue to inspire him to keep moving towards his goals of eventually making the career switch that he is preparing for.
