Starting a Cyber Fraud Team: Building Resilience Against Digital Threats

In today’s interconnected world, cyber fraud poses a significant risk to organizations. From financial institutions to e-commerce platforms, businesses face constant threats from malicious actors seeking to exploit vulnerabilities. Establishing a robust cyber fraud team is essential to safeguarding sensitive data, maintaining customer trust, and preventing financial losses. In this talk, we’ll explore the critical components of building an effective cyber fraud team and discuss some frameworks to measure effectiveness of the team and how they are combating digital threats.

 

Speaker Bio:

Matt Meis is a Cyber Fraud Manager at Summit Credit Union with over 15 years of experience in the cybersecurity and IT space. He has built banking fraud detection systems, written college level cybersecurity curriculum, and started DomainAlarm to proactively detect phishing sites. In addition, Matt recently published a new book: Survive Online (https://www.learncybersecurity.net/book) which aims to help individuals improve their cybersecurity posture.
